Dumitru Drumea 

Institute of Ecology and Geography, Moldova

Dumitru Drumea is a researcher in the Institute of Ecology and Geography and is an associate professor at the Free International University of Moldova. He holds Ph.D in the field of environmental geochemistry.

 

From 1993 until the present Dumitru is involved in different environmental related projects in the Danube river basin, and is part of the Global Water Partnership for Central and Eastern Europe. He was also involved in preparing a dossier for the creation of the first biosphere reserve in the Lower Prut region and preparing basin management plans for the main rivers in Moldova as well as climate change adaptation programme documents for the lower part of the Danube river basin.

Dumitru deals with preparing educational courses based on application of Internet resources in teaching of environmental related curriculums for students and different levels of public and sectoral authorities.
