Hrachya Astsatryan

Scientific Computing Center, Institute for Informatics and Automation Problems, National Academy of Sciences of Armenia

Dr. Hrachya Astsatryan is the head of the Scientific Computing Center of the Institute for Informatics and Automation Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia.

 

Previously, within the framework of the Marie Curie Fellowship, he worked at the KFKI Research Institute for Particle and Nuclear Physics (Budapest, Hungary), as a researcher and held a post-doc position in the Institute de Recherche en Informatique de Toulouse (Toulouse, France). He has published more than 60 scientific papers in various scientific journals and proceedings. He was involved and organised various aspects of e-infrastructures in the South Caucasus region, and their sustainability and seamless integration in pan-European e-science infrastructures. He participated in the realisation of projects in association with EU FP, SNF, CNRS, RDA, BSEC, ISTC, INTAS.

He received his university doctorate degree from the Yerevan State University in 1998 and a Candidate of Computer Sciences degree (equivalent to PhD) from the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia in 2001.
