Dr Hrachya Astsatryan is the head of the “Scientific Computing Center” of the Institute for Informatics and Automation Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia. He received his university doctorate degree from the Yerevan State University in 1998 and the Candidate of Computer Sciences degree (equivalent to PhD) from the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia in 2001. Previously, within the framework of the Marie Curie Fellowship, he worked at the KFKI Research Institute for Particle and Nuclear Physics (Budapest, Hungary), as a researcher and hold Postdoc position in Institute de Recherche en Informatique de Toulouse (Toulouse, France). He has published more than 60 scientific papers in various scientific journals and proceedings. He was involved and organized various aspects of e-infrastructures in the South Caucasus region, and their sustainability and seamless integration in pan-European eScience infrastructures. Participated in the realization of projects in association with EU FP, SNF, CNRS, RDA, BSEC, ISTC, INTAS, etc.
