LIGHTNING TALKS & POSTERS

Lightning talks are strictly-timed 5-minute presentations that provide an opportunity for new ideas and for community newcomers to gain visibility. Lightning talks are a great way to show work in progress or to demonstrate a new tool or technique. Lightning talk presenters are asked to also present a complementary poster to provide additional information.

POSTERS ONLY

Posters will be displayed in the conference exhibition area, where presenters will have opportunities to explain their work to EaPEC participants, to make new contacts and to gain feedback on their work and ideas.

HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR IDEAS
All proposals for EaPEC 2017 posters and lightning talks should be prepared as 300-word abstracts using the provided MS Word template, and should be submitted to: submit_eap@geant.org
Although you may submit more than one topic for consideration, for each topic that you submit you should please indicate whether it would be presented as a poster only, or as a lightning talk with a poster.

The official language of the conference is English. All abstracts must therefore be submitted in English.

The abstracts should show a clear relation to e-Infrastructures. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • E-Infrastructure Applications

  • Open Science

  • Research Data Management

  • Big Data & Deep Learning

  • Data Science

  • Cultural Heritage Digitisation

  • High-Performance Computing

  • e-Science

Deadline

The deadline for submission of your contribution will be Wednesday 13th September 2017.

SELECTION

Abstracts will be evaluated by the Lightning Talks and Posters Chair(s) with respect to their relevance to EaPEC's audience and the availability of space in the conference program. Abstracts will not receive peer-review feedback. Accepted abstracts will be made available on the conference website prior to the event.
