Peter Löwe

Peter Löwe is the Head of Research Infrastructure at the German Institute for Economic Research

(DIW). At DIW, he is responsible for the IT/compute infrastructure, library and research data services and teams.

Before joining DIW, Peter held positions as Head of Development at the German National Library for Science and Technology (TIB) and Project Manager at GFZ Potsdam. He is involved in national and international research projects (GITEWS, TRIDEC, SciForge, RA DAR). He is an active member in several organizations addressing Open Science, including RDA, FORCE11, EGU and OSGeo. Peter received his PhD in Geography from the University of Würzburg.
